A mystic friend with "clairvoyant" powers. I never granted them that but we're friends and I believe it to be possible albeit highly unlikely, also in my case but there I am biased.

I wish I could meet this friend or just a friend like that.

We were looking up stuff on creating a portable altar for me and immediately started getting some really sketchy ads on my YouTube account.

Well, the only thing I can recommend is religion.

I have suggested clairvoyance test but I already know they try to win lotto with it without defying statistical probability. And honestly I don't remember whether they "knew" after or before. Despite that, I still give them benefit of doubt.

Yeah, absolutely. The body is designed to move towards pleasure and away from pain. The false "giving a shit" sense of self is what defines itself through outcomes. It thinks that pleasure will complete us, and that pain is an attack on who we are

I believe God is above human understanding, and the Bible while it contains the message of God is tainted with human corruption. I fear Gray believes all there is to God is the human interpretation, and I would like to ease that fear.

We cannot know if there is an afterlife, but hell manifests in daily living as guilt, blame, pride, worry and expectation

Thinking some more about this, I do think it's interesting that basically, our ideas about the afterlife boil down to hell = pain, heaven = pleasure
